Ce GR II, comme tous les modèles de la série, offre une prestation excellente. Le choix de la focale grand-angle fixe est l'évidence que la clientèle visée est très ciblée. Idéal pour être en permanence dans la poche, prêt à sortir à toutes les occasions !
Le premier GR Digital était sorti deux ans plus tôt, en 2005, avec un capteur de 8 MP. Ce nouveau modèle a un capteur de 10 MP. L'écran arrière est un peu plus grand. Ce qui ne se voit pas, c'est que le logiciel de traitement de l'image a été revu de A à Z. Le traitement du bruit a été amélioré.
Les accessoires de la première version restent utilisables sur le GR Digital II. Il s'agit du viseur et du complément optique grand-angle (21 mm).
